Elections in North Carolina - 2024
The map below shows the districts for each of the three legislative bodies in North Carolina:
- the State House of Representatives,
- the State Senate, and
- NC's representatives to the US Congress.
The map below lets you explore those districts in detail. You can use the "Districts" radio button to choose which body to show. When the year is set to 2024, the map displays who's running in each district. When the year is set to 2022, the map indicates who the current representatives are. You can click on any district to get more information.
If you live in North Carolina, you can enter your address to zoom in to your location to find your representatives. You can also pan and zoom to explore the district boundaries.
The current partisan breakdown for each legislative body (i.e., those elected in 2022) is as follows:
Democratic Count | Republican Count | Total | |
---|---|---|---|
US Congress | 7 | 7 | 14 |
State House | 48 | 72 | 120 |
State Senate | 20 | 30 | 50 |
It looks like those numbers are likely to change in the next election, due to partisan gerrymandering. That's another subject, though!
